The Illusion Plus megayacht is a dream of all of ours.
Delivered in 2018 by Pride Mega Yachts and built by Azure Naval Architects alongside Rainsford Saunders Design, the Illusion Plus megayacht screams all things luxury and spaciousness. This vessel is 88.5 meters long and boasts an interior volume of 3,642 GT. With accomodation for only 12 guests, the sparceness of this megayacht would make for a perfect floating family home, will all members living comfortably.
A similar megayacht of this size would usually accomodate for around 30 guests, however, the Illusion Plus makes room for only 12, shared across 6 suites within the boat. The master suite spans across 80 square meters, featuring a walk in room, 180-degree panoramic views, his and her bathrooms along with the usual private deck.
Other family and guests have the choice of 4 double suites and 1 twin room. The vessel also holds 15 cabins for 25 crew aboard.
As you can image, the usual luxury amenities are on board this megayacht, such as a cinema, a fully equipped gym, a wellness centre with a spa and hammam, even with your own personal massage therapist! There is also a pool, 2 jucuzzis, an atrium over two-levels, a couple of bars to choose from, a four level elevator for easy access to all of these places, and a helipad of course. So really, guests are spoilt for choice of things to do aboard this luxury boat. Across the 6 decks, there is also lots of space for sunbathing on the various lounge areas, as well as space for al fresco dining and a luxurious beach club.
It isn’t the above amenities that make the Illusion Plus stand out as a vessel, but it is the amount of space the megayacht provides alongside these. This megayacht would allow a family of 4, to get lost from one another and not have a problem in staying hidden for the rest of the stay if they wished.
Another highlight of this vessel are the perfect finishes. The guest cabins are decked in fine wood, rare natural stone and a luxurious combination of metals and glass, making all the difference to the interior, which was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
The lower-deck garage is home to a matching Cockwells 9.5-meter (31-foot) limousine tender, a Pascoe SY9 Beachlander, and one Fassmeer RIR 625. Impressive, right?!
Illusion Plus carries an air of mystery, with blacked out glass, a distinct profile and sleek lines. It also has a steel displacement hull and aluminium structure, but the Illusion Plus megayacht isn’t all about it’s looks, thanks to it’s Diesel-electric propulsion system. This system allows for energy efficient operation and a high level of redundancy, making it perfectly able to cruise around the world. Twin Rolls-Royce Marine Diesel engines of 3,000 hp each take it to a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
Described as “a combination between performance and comfort […], pure luxury with a sense of adventure” with “innovative design and yacht construction expertise”, the Illusion Plus megayacht is not one to miss. It is one of the largest and most expensive megayachts on sale, with an asking price of €120 million or $145 million, because luxury doesn’t come cheap!
