Born on June 19, 1931, on a farm, Dave Christensen started his career in property and made a small fortune, so much so that he retired at age 50 and as a retirement gift to himself he commissioned a 95 ft yacht.
After his maiden voyage, Christensen decided he could build a better yacht, and the new motor yacht company was created.
As a yacht builder, Christensen boasts a team of 120 boat builders who work together to build luxury yachts and motor boats to a very high standard and on time, and within budget.
When the original owner of the business, Dave Christensen, founded his yacht yard, he put a sign over the entrance as follows:
Through these doors pass the finest boat builders in the world.https://www.christensenyachts.com/#the-christensen-difference

Dave Christensen, the founder, suffered with Alzheimer’s disease in his later years, and died at the age of 87 in October 2018 at his home in Vancouver, surrounded by his close family.
