Prodigium megayacht, designed by Lazzarini, is a huge 501ft long and 112ft wide, spread out over six luxurious levels. Inspired by the body of a shark, this vessel has retractable fins and a sleek pointed design, whilst offering room for three helicopters, eight jet skis and with three swimming pools. But Lazzarini doesn’t stop there, they have said their next megayacht will resemble a swan!

Prodigium has two garages and two extendable terraces folding out from the side of the boat imitating shark fins, with space on these terraces to store vessels.

This shark shaped megayacht reaches a speed of 22 knots and offers a lounge area on the top deck. Prodigium also offers a home to ‘smaller’ 100ft yachts in its ‘private port’ area at its rear.

This sleek carbon and aluminium megayacht carries up to 40 guests at a time who would be looked after by around 30 crew and staff.

If guests wanted to experience the ocean from a different point of view, the megayacht’s top deck also allows room for up to three helicopters at a time.

A Lazzarini Designs spokeswoman said:

“Prodigium is the second of the nature inspired mega yacht that Mr. Lazzarini is developing the first took its inspiration from a swan.

Our latest design takes its inspiration from ancient Roman architecture and parts are also inspired by the shape of sharks.”

Avanguardia, Lazzarini’s other megayacht design, stretches to a length longer than a football pitch and would cost owners a whopping £376 million, slightly cheaper than Prodigium.

Avanguardia features a sleek ‘neck’ and body, portraying the elegance of a swan, with a layered design resembling wings and feathers.

Just like a swan can move it’s neck, Avanguardia can also move it’s control tower down towards the water, with a detachable ‘head’, which transforms into an auxilary 50 foot boat.
