We all know Tiger Woods as one of the most successful golfers ever. Being one of the world’s most famous celebrity athletes has made Woods a very rich man, however, this doesn’t come without issues. Woods can’t enjoy the privacy that so many of us take for granted. That’s where his superyacht ‘Privacy’ comes into play. Here we go into the details of Tiger Wood’s net worth as well as his incredible $20 million superyacht.

Tiger Wood’s Net Worth

1996 was the year Wood’s went pro. Since then, he has amassed a fortune which few of his peers in the sports world can rival. Celebrity Net Worth have claimed that in that time, Woods has enjoyed career earnings of more than $1.5 billion. He’s managed to hold onto a decent proportion of those earnings, with a current net worth of $800 million.

Even now, Woods earns around $62.3 million per year according to Clutch Points. Only a small part of those earnings, $2.3 million, stem from Woods’ golf salary. The rest is revenue from his numerous sponsorships with businesses like Bridgestone, Rolex, Nike, and Upper Deck. Those sponsorships helped Woods become the highest-paid golfer of all time.

A Superyacht built for Privacy

Woods has never been shy about spending his income, whether it be mansions, fancy cars or private jets. Woods has partaken in plenty high-profile purchases. Back in 2004, Woods spent a massive $20 million on one of his most conspicious buys, his superyacht ‘Privacy’.

Superyacht ‘Privacy’ is 155 foot long with 3 floors, including an observation deck up top. With 5 bedrooms, the superyacht can comfortably sleep as many as 10 people — excluding the crew. It takes 9 people to fully man Woods’ boat. Staff quarters account for another four bedrooms, although those are probably far less luxurious than the others.

Moored in Oyster Bay, Woods frequently sleeps on his yacht when he is playing in majors on Long Island. Of course, “Privacy” is also more than capable of covering ground, with an operating range of 4,000 nautical miles. It also comes stocked with an impressive array of amenities.

The amenities on the superyacht include a jucuzzi large enough to fit 8 people, a full gym and a decompression chamber for those who want to do a little scuba diving. The yacht also houses three jet skis for when guests decide to have a little fun on the water.

Comparing ‘Privacy’ superyacht to other sports celebrities’ yachts.

Woods is not the only sports celebrity with an impressive yacht. Yet Privacy is indeed one of the most impressive yachts owned by a celebrity, with a size and amenities package that few of his peers’ boats can rival. Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady’s yacht is a mere 53 feet long, which is barely one-third the size of Woods.

David Beckham, international football celeb, has a yacht that clocks in at a mere 94 feet, according to The Sun. Meanwhile, 26 North Yachts reports that retired Bulls star Scottie Pippen owns a 100-foot yacht.

Michael Jordan also owns a yacht, which is one of the only celeb yachts that seems to dwarf Wood’s superyacht Privacy, stretching 230 feet, with Jordan paying a staggering $80 million for it.
